Wandle auf Rosen und Vergissmeinnicht / Walk on Roses and Forgetmenots

The catalogue of the research and exhibition for the project at the Braunschweig Landesmuseum. The show presented new works alongside objects from the museum's collection concerned with the understandings of desire and courtship. The project presented artefacts from the museum’s folklore collection and newly created artworks together as part of a discourse on folklore, ritual and the marking of connection and relationships in people’s lives. Some objects can represent not just historical desires, but contemporary ones too, highlighting our continuing fascination with the transparency of human sensuality, sexuality and ritual.
